Ive been looking at forums saying nokia n800's app mplayr can resize the videos!
But when i lokk i dont see how ... Can some1 tell me weather its possible or not m and if it is tell me how to! thnx

We`re talking about the command line version of mplayer here, right?

Well, technically, it doesn`t do a resize, as far as I know, but it does allow you to set the dimensions to be displayed.

mplayer -x <size x> -y <size y> filetobeplayed.

However, if you're looking for a more permanent solution, I'd advice you to go with ffmpeg, also from the command line, which is known to do a great job converting all sorts of stuff.

ffmpeg should be in extra-dev I think, and installable by typing

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg.

So how do i make a video with too big resolution play with mplayer?
