    Oh... NooooooO!!! That's like... 20 days... If I find it in-stock to close that price, I'll switch supplier.

    I'm glad to see that some of you found my post helpful, props should also go to rs-px who noticed the price cut over 10 days ago, had I found his post when I searched I wouldn't have started another thread; it just so happened that I visited the Play.com homepage and there it was staring back at me.

    It's a bummer that the release date has been put back to 19/11, but I see 3 distinct advantages:
    1. I'll have time to save some extra cash to fund the purchase;
    2. It gives the likes of Expansys.com the chance to undercut Play.com;
    3. It gives Dixons Tax Free at Heathrow Airport a chance to reduce the price of their units even more, though I did notice that the display model at Terminal 3 was missing when I last popped in; next time I'm over there for work I shall investigate further

    I hate the waiting game.

    I wonder if it would be faster to get it from the States?

    Don't know if this is relevant, but on the Nokia site the N800 is £199 inc. VAT + £3.99 delivery.

    Lower it a bit more and I'll get it...

    I have to wonder whether there's something fishy going on at Play. Why do they have a "release date" and "preorder" labels for an existing model?

    Stuff that they're just generally temporarily out of stock is so marked, so what they are up to with this new price for the n800?

    My guess is that the new N800, highly likely with OS2008 will have a new SKU (stock keeping unit) number, and therefore they've issued a new item, and it's also likely that these new N800s will surface when they're saying they are... Most likely on the order of Nokia.
