Get it while it's hot!!!! Gameloft's Dragon Hunter is FREE for the next 24 hours!

    http://www.androidcentral.com/gamelo...-free-24-hours

If only I could get the APK and save it for later... *sigh*

EDIT: It seems that it's only available for specific handsets. No Galaxy Tab... Sorry!

Do you own a Tab? I own an 11" Air, iPhone 4 and an iPad. I'm a huge Apple fan. The Tab design is right up there, and for my needs is overall a better device than the iPad.

But you're probably just a troll

Oh my stars! I almost forgot about the Gameboy Advance. On the Tab, the emulator looks AMAZING. Imagine playing Advance Wars?!?!?

100% win. Advance wars is a *great* game, but I'm a fan of the 'strategy' RPG. They're like an exotic and graphical verison of chess with a storyline.

I'm actually trying to convince my GF to get an iPad. While the Tab would be good for her, based on what I know of her, I think she'd get a kick out of the iPad.

Even though I'm getting a Tab, I know that we'll be wrestling over it, so it's only a matter of time before we need another device!

Here's a video of Dungeon Hunter HD for the Tab (I can't recall if I posted this before). Feast your eyes on a title that you *can't* have for free.

Of course, it's only $4.99 at Gameloft.com. It looks fun!

I have played with this in Nitdroid, also if you closely read the features, MapDroid is a map *Viewer*. I don't believe it does *Navigation*. It will follow your position, but you can't search for a location and get directions to it. In other words, no *Routing*.

@ daperl I agree, the Tab is a great front-runner. Hopefully, there are more similar tablets in the near future. As I've mentioned earlier I'd prefer a wifi only tablet based on how I think I would use one. I very much like the Viewsonic G-Tablet, except for the size, and no GPS. A 7" G-Tablet for around $300 vs the 10" @ ~$380 would be very tempting.

That is the right path - trust me.
My wife bought a iPad and even after I showed her all the technical merits of the Tab - the front facing camera, the expandable memory slot, the Android ecosystem etc etc, she still loves the iPad because TO HER the iPad fulfills all her needs.

Its then I realized (for the umpteenth time) that a device's usefulness is based on the needs of a person

    Agree 100%

How portable the projector has to be? I am a teacher who would seriously consider buying one unit if I could use it for a decent, couple of hours Power Point presentation for my students.
    Thanks in advance.

No OS X, so no iPad. But like the Capt'n, I have an iPod touch 2G and no Tab. I'm guessing you don't own an n900. Correct? What ever eventually fits in between my n900 and my MBA will most likely be closer in capabilities to the MBA. That pretty much rules out the Tab. But like you, I bet I would find the Tab more useful than the current iPad.

I'll probably be buying a PandaBoard in the next few months; that should be a good indicator of what to expect from the next generation of tablets.
