I have been searching for a while in order to get some ways to turn off "AUTOMATIC SPEAKER" via proximity sensor. There's none. When I pick up the phone and put it close enough to my ear, it will automatically gets into the actual speaker for phone, http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/7656/zssc.jpg. However, somehow, the sensor does not work effectively, it turns to speaker mode, http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/6540/77470127.jpg. It is really annoying me when I try to make a call in a silence public place.

According to these http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=41122 and http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=46612, they do not really help much.

Phone Speaker Switcher's settings are in the phone's "Settings" menu... This is an application which have to be installed deliberately by the user - don't you know what you're installing?
