I have just tried to flash my N900 with the latest firmware from Nokia, and my device had none of it!! I tried it twice, just incase I made a typo but either time it didn't work. I followed the Wiki step by step, and done everything by the book but all I got was the Nokia logo and the USB icon on my screen the whole time.

Both attempts I left my device for 10 minutes after running the final command, and sod all happened!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to download the latest version of the firmware though, when I try to navigate to it windows tells me that it cannot be found. Not sure why, I have downloaded it about ten times now and everytime windows can't find it.

from what i know there is a problem with windows 7, that we cannot use the flasher-3.5 with it so we have to use windows vista or windows xp.

I used a Windows XP computer and flashing the firmware was successful but after flashing the emmc in the pc it says successful but in the phone side, there was no reboot that happened only blinking led same as charging the phone.
