Hi Maemo Lovers.

Congrats to all N900 Lovers thats N900 beats the Palm Pre and reached the
Final. It sounds like again makes to fall in love with this device from
iPhone3GS to N900.

Before to going to get N900, Just want to get all your experience and thoughts about bettery performance on N900.

Iam using my iPhone 3Gs and it comes around 7-8 hrs for music, bweb broswing on wifi and some games and phone calls.

iPhone 3GS has as 1230 mah Battery, where N900 1340 battery. My iphone
3GS battery sucks!

Comparing with N900 and iPhone 3GS,Which one has the good battery life performance main factors are Gaming,Browsing with Wifi and some phone calls.

Thanks,
Ram

Ram,

Before you continue, I would strongly suggest you do a good search in this forum because there are many many many threads debating about the battery life of N900 in different uses and methods. I'm only saying this to save you from having to hear insults and jokes and many times, rude comments from some of the users of TMO. Plus, if you do the search, you'll find that your answers will be answered much quicker than waiting for a response from someone.

Cheers

well, though it is true (plenty of information in forums of this topic), I will do my particular summary.

With swappiness (how is it said?) adjusted (as suggested in the forums), and without any internet-service running, I would say (based on my experience with both devices) that the n900 lives a little bit longer, and I say this with an overclocked n900 with live wallpapers activated.

However, if I compare being natively connected with gtalk vs ebuddy-gtalk in the 3gs, I tend to think that the push tecnology is a good invention after all, since my n900 drains much faster than the 3gs.

About surfing, the same time, but you're much more productive in the n900. About the phone, I couldn't say. Regarding wifi and 3g, wifi is a much better option if you want to save some battery.

I just got my wife an iPhone 3G. She used it constantly while I was at church. I came home and it was very low on batteries. About as low as the N900 would have been, maybe lower. (I was gone for 3 hours.)
