The only change to the FAQ above:
on my N900 it is
/opt/usr/share/hildon-welcome/media
and not
/usr/share/hildon-welcome/media/
and I had to move the original Hands-v32-h264.avi somewhere else for backup because it started playing both intro videos if both
stayed in the same place (although I edited /etc/hildon-welcome.d/default.conf accordingly).
;-)
I seemed to find the problem and it was like you said the orginal ones u uploaded were in a different format or sort, but the ones you re-uploaded were good and works. Thanks so much
i noticed you updated a Radeon one, if you have time and can possibly make one again with htoniv it would be nice , thanks a bunch again.!
hey also one question, does anyone know if u can put the boot videos on random? so its a different one everytime u boot. coz i have 5 and theyre too good to pick just one
using the squares one now by the way and loving it

If you use bootscreen manager you can select random or multiple.
I am also using random!
@Leetut
thank you for the genesis vid. it looks great!!!
I don't want to look greedy but I searched the topic 3 or 4 times and i can't find the radeon one with my name. Maybe you have forgotten about it. no big deal. but can you please do that one.
after that I quit bothering you.
really?? thanks didnt see that option before.
EDIT: do u know how to delete the default nokia hands bootscreen? coz i kinda hate it
you dont need to delete it, just make sure its not selected/highlighted and it wont play,
to play on random make sure vids you want to play are all highlighted

they were reuploaded to fix a sound problem,
and the extention was renamed to .avi instead of .AVI
like i explained earlier
.avi is linux compatable (according to super encoder)
