This is my first thread by the way so hello everybody
I had a recent problem with n900 when i bought it used. The thing is that the device lock code was changed by the user before me and there is no way to find out what it is ?

There is a way to find out the (encrypted) code which you will then have to run through a cracker like "john the ripper" to get the actual passcode(which can take a few seconds to a few days, depending on the length of the code).
However, people around here aren't entirely confortable about talking about it, though I can tell you the method exists on this forum, and I have posted about it before.

hope it is easy becuase i am a noob. And if there is so much of an issue i can get used to the idea of not locking the phone

This might be of the topic but i am having problems downloading the nfsinstaller and cute tube. nfs installer gets stuck in the middle

Just needed some help with a few problems but i guess everybody just overlooked it.

Simple solution is to contact the person who sold it to you. If he the first owner of the device then he will know the password Easy peessy!

wow never thought of that i wouldnt have posted this thread if it was that easy man. Nope the man was aged he doesnt remember

there was a way using J.A.F on my old nasty N97, It would brick often and I'd have to reload its lock code. If you're interested, I could tell u how to do it with ur N900 cuz i cracked a jaf.ini already containing all new nokia handsets.

The next one with activated lock code will probably get the phone from very very old granny, LOL

is it safe hope wont brick the phone.
