Are you trying to install through xterm or application manager?.

because installing through app manager works fine.

tried it with fapman and after with xterm,

If it's not working from console or fapman, then it's unlikely to work with stock application manager. As I performed a lot of installs from console.

If you could pastie.org the output of "apt-get install xbox360-media-remote" for me and I'll have a look at it, thanks.

is there any way to emulate an xbox controller input? Or does that have to work through bluetooth instead od IR?
