I'm owner of a brand new N900 since 12 hours ago...As a first step , before recap my C skills to be able to play with my new toy, I want to run tomcat to write a simple file upload/download webapp.
I've installed ejre 1.6 and I've set the JAVA_HOME and the PATH in tomcat's startup.sh and it worked...But now I want to make the new PATH and JAVA_HOME globally available.I've tried to add these vars and /etc/profile and the I restarted the device without any result.

Which is the right way to modify the $PATH in Maemo?
