Bump.. i just switched off my mobile for about 3 hours and switched it on and the earpiece isnt working. headsets and loud speaker work properly. i tried all scripts but nothing works. please help
mine still does not work ive tried everything in this thread & tried reflashing & playing around with alsamixer &i even replaced the speaker with a new 1 off ebay but it still doesnt work, but loud speaker works fine any other suggestions any1?
Ok guys I had the same problem. Tried everything but it's not soft problem. Think I found the solution. Speaker contacts are very close to housing of the phone and probably touching each other. That can cause speaker to stop working. Take nail polish and paint those parts of housing that might touch speaker contacts and voila it works again.
Aack! I'm having the exact same issues. Earpiece will not work but speakerphone works fine. I bought this phone refurbished so no longer have a warranty on it..so I can't send it to Nokia =( I even tried opening it to move the prongs a little because I read somewhere that there was an issue with them staying compressed? Heeellp??
