Woah! The new map app on the Nexus S looks really great! This will play very well on the Tab!

The Android market has been upgraded!

    http://androidandme.com/2010/12/news...to-15-minutes/

A couple of things to note:
    - You can return an app, but you are limited to 15 minutes after purchase!
    - Developers can now upload 50MB apps
    - The UI has been overhauled.

I would like to see an Android application that shares the keyboard and mouse from your main computer to your device (aka the Tab) via WiFi or USB even if encrypted.

Why WiFi? Answer: because it's ubiquitous and more than fast enough for controlling a cursor. Of course, this may be difficult outside of the home, depending on the network setup.

Basically, the app would listen on a port and when connected to via a designated source, the cursor and keyboard input would be used. A quick tap of something (eg. ctrl-esc) would set and release control back to the host system.

Another idea is dragging the mouse off-screen (say the right) would seamlessly move the cursor to the Tab's screen!

The idea is to be able to use the Tab as an auxiliary screen for your computer without having to interact with it directly. This would be useful for controlling media, looking up information, or performing things like chat. It would make the Tab a *very* nice laptop companion!

Another app could effectively act as a laptop monitor extender, via USB (WiFi would be too slow for this to work well -- though could be useful in a pinch, and for apps that don't require high performance (eg. terminal)).

In fact, I would love to see a simple harness that could attach the Tab to the laptop screen for a little dual-display action. Nerdy, but oh so useful.

Here's a really neat stand that would likely work well with the Tab:

Extremely portable. I wonder if it works as well as advertised?

Here's a video of the old and new Youtube app running on the Tab:

The new version looks MUCH better overall!

Here's the Attack of the Show review of the Tab... The only thing that makes this bearable is the girl:

I have a weak spot for very attractive women..

Okay after completely restoring my N900 to factory settings and then reinstalling my apps I am still having the same annoying issue. So think I am definitely going to be getting the tab. Just need to figure out how on earth to get my contacts from the N900 on to google contacts. Hope I do not regret my decision.

Went in to carphone warehouse this afternoon to have a brief play around with the Tab. Seemed nice enough. The screen is very pleasing to the eye. I know there is the possibility of a superamoled Tab next year but this screen was very impressive.

I felt the screen was very nice as well. Colourful and bright.

Did you get a chance to hold it in your hand? What was your impression other than the screen?

Gameloft has released 3 new games for Android!
    http://androidandme.com/2010/12/game...ameloft-my-15/

I'm not sure which devices these games support, but they look quite good!

Brother In Arms -- a war sim with vehicles
Fishing Kings -- not my cup, but could be fun
Lets Golf 2 -- golf game, looks great!

EDIT: It seems that they are generally available! Win.

These aren't available on the Tab yet, in the UK at least.
