    Hello!
Yep! I think it's time to start this topic again...

Is it possible to use NITDroid via a chroot while staying in maemo?
We now have so many systems running via chroot.

Meego! This runs on a different kernel to maemo - Maybe Android is possible now?

It will be slow as anything, but worth all the effort I think, even if it's a "just because we can" thing.

Edit: Also is it possible to run MAEMO as a Chroot on another deivce? Been meaning to ask this for a long time. I want to boot up maemo on another device (like a PandaBoard) ala easy debian.

I believe this will be very hard, maybe someone in the nitdriod team has the knowledge to do this, anyway I believe that its better to boot it instead of chroot, since it is a phone os.

    That sucks.
I want to use it to test software, but don't want to leave maemo.

    Meego is a phone OS
    Thanks mate.

I think it could be easier and more useful to run a chrooted WebOS environment (despite Mojo and some other parts of the OS are close sourced and should be "borrowed" from a Palm Pre).

Is android sdk open source? Because it's possible to run android roms inside a window in windows(duh) and linux using x86 and x86_64

It would be a great idea getting the sdk working on maemo

    yeah. all open, mate.

i was thinking maybe we can extract a droid.bin into a loopback. same as easy debian and meego intructions.

I've made my first droid app (.apk) yesterday!

But after I made it - my MacBook got a kernel panic. hest related I think.
