Just out of the blue my n900 jammed up. I restarted it since I had a lock code on it that screen came up. But when I press any key on the touch screen it doesnt work nor does the keypad ! I flashed it with Maemo Flasher 3.5 but the lock still remains I cant even connect it to the ovi or pc suite, since the lock has to be cleared to move forward. Can anybody help me solve this problem ?
It looks like a hardware problem, if the LCD screen can display and touchscreen doesn't work. Either go to Nokia support or be prepared to take n900 apart to find the reason of the problem.
"Enter lock code" doesn't accept numbers from keyboard. So I assume that keypad isn't broken.
In case it is software problem, remove battery and put it inside again.
The device doesn't seem to have any Internet or cellular connection, so you cannot control it with SSH or SMS commands.

The same thing happened to me! There is a details that occurs to me and Sunny didn't say. When I press the numbers on the screen the phone seems to respond...it shakes and everything!
I'm having this same problem, I've tried flashing the kernel only... but still the same...
For me if I allow the screen to go dark automatically, and then touch it, it lights back up, meaning the touch screen seems to respond to touch. However I still cannot enter the lock code.
I think I'll flash the whole thing, including the mmc next. unless I can find an answer.
