awesome, slack 13.1 slimmest DE is xfce but im sure you'd be able to replace is with lxde, is a box variant like flux possible perhaps swap r-click menu to open on left click.
the .ext has finish downloading so will try that extracted to my sd, an well done with the work so far these will be awesome once ready for repos
- Found out copying your script to /usr/bin/xephwm5 was redundant; I must've had the script already in from the original installation.
- Had to reinstall 'nano' on ubuntu chroot
- LX Terminal inside Ubuntu is not launching (tried from LXDE Menu => Accessories and Menu => Run)
- LXDE DE boots up in ~15 sec (nice!) [Titan's 2.6.28.10power46, 805MHz]
Firefox issues inside Easy Ubuntu:
- When launching Firefox from LXDE menu, it asks to create a profile (haven't seen this before in Ubuntu, Arch nor Debian). After giving the profile a name and trying to save it in the default folder, I get an error message:
"Profile couldn't be created. Probably the chosen folder isn't writeable. [Exception..."Component returned failure code:0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)..." and so on
Changed destination folder to 'file system' /home/user/ubuntu and now firefox loads without problems BUT this process gets repeated every time you have rebooted EU.
However, when trying to upgrade from firefox's homepage, system complains "not enough room on the disk to save /tmp/X6EmeQAJ.part"
- Tried running my beloved java applet via firefox that used to work on Easy Debian: no luck. Once LX Terminal is sorted out, I'll try installing(reinstalling) jre/jdk because in the end, full java is really what I need from the Debian/Ubuntu desktop environments.
So far, excellent work juandp77 (and the mastermind behind it all, qole!). Now cut me some slack(ware).
I should probably rephrase that: as I had deleted the file from MyDocs, the installation faulted because app man could not find the .ext file
i ran dpkg -i on the ubuntu deb then install -f after to get wmctrl etc but now all i get is failed to mount loop0, so now im guess i need titans kernel however every so often i had the pulseaudio killed on boot (a bug due to titans kernel is there a permanent fix for audio, if so i see now reason why this shouldn't work)
EDIT: got ubuntu working i had to make the .ubuntu folder in / myself,
on the defualt pr1.3 kernel ubuntu is a heck of a lot faster than debian (debian install via repos, however i can't run them together like in your video)
@frostbyte, to be honest with you I started all this with the aim of get archlinux on my n900 (I'm a archlinux fan to), later I realize that this could be used in others arm based linux distro
So guys if you installed please let me know if there are some problem or if it works well. Thanks
