    The linear scale is usually 0, while, say, typing on keyboard can give 8 (on linear).

    The db scale usually gives 30. It could be related to atmosphere pressure or something, but I don't understand how.

    The loudest noise is getting the stylus into N900 quickly: 106 on dB scale, 200 on linear.

    Looks like math artifact, linear is fine. It's probably due to input scale limitation.

    but i have a small question.
    Is there a way to measure more than 106 db??

    Can you add dBa ? It's more common for sound measure.
    (you have to add a filter witch reduce the bass)
