Hi,

I tried re-flashing the emmc on windows xp 32 bit but it keeps freezing at the part where it says not sutiable device found.

So I tried to use a Ubuntu 32 bit live cd to flash it. But every time i try to follow the tutorial posted in the wiki it says "no such file or directory found." When typing in the image name do I have to also type in a directory name for where the file is? Also when I install flasher-3.5.deb on the live cd where does it go?

Since none of that worked I tried repartitioning using the wiki found here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Repartitioning...Docs_partition

I got to the part where it says create the file "table" and don't know what to do there or how to create it.

could anyone please help?

Thanks

Yes, you should either change into the directory, where all the images are on your disk, or you must type the complete path to the image files one by one.

If you install the package into the Live-CD with #dpkg -i maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2_i386.deb, the flasher utility goes to /usr/bin and some additional stuff to /usr/share.
BUT this does not matter at all, just call it from the command line and the system will find it.

To your second part: table is just a name for a text file, which you create with any cli-editor like vi, vim, nano, pico or else. There is also leafpad as a graphical editor for text files.

Just my personal wisdom
You are better off to try only one howto by the time, you will run into problems reverting steps that did go wrong or leave traces of only half finished work on your device.

Easiest way to repartition is to just open the eMMC image with a hex editor and change the space allocated to the home partition.
