You havent if you want, but if you keep the nitdroid 0.0.9 partition, probably the installation of gingerbread will be more easy and of course you will keep all of your things.

It's mistake. Installing Gingerbread over 0.0.9 is really silly way to produce nearly-unrepeatable glitches and problems.

At least without wiping /data directory (that makes such an installation meaningless).

so e-yes , its best to wipe 0.9 before doing a clean install of gingerbread ?or ok to overwrite 0.9 ?

edit... i see the nitdroid wiki recommends clean install...

Clean install (install to empty partition) is HIGHLY recommended.

it's better to install it only not over 0.0.9

    but u missed something ,

we said to install gingerbread on fresh 0.0.9

i.e u won't have data files because u didn't open 0.0.9 which is the problem in installing gingerbread over 0.0.9

It's meaningless. Gingerbread + gingerbread_update1 include all files that is really needed.

libbridge.so exists in 0.0.9, but removed from Gingerbread update intentionally, because DSP is not working yet. What happens when you install Gingerbread on fresh 0.0.9? Codecs will attempt to use DspBridge and fail after few retries (check logcat).

FakeGPS - i don't know why do you think it's working... try to locate yourself in GMaps... if you find yourself somewhere... in Russia... then it's really working
