OP has a legitimate point. 50% devaluation over a year for cell phone is significant. This is entirely due to Nokia making this a dead end product.

(I can't tell if you are joking so I will assume not)

The N900 does not come with a printed manual. It is a PDF..

I paid 320 bucks on it from Amazon Warehouse (customer return, like new condition but needed a reflash). That's at the beginning of November.
I know people who paid 600 euro for it in 2009.

I like N900 because it's a device running Maemo, so the cheaper the better. We should rejoy and celebrate over the news.

Seriously are they really selling a new one not refurbished one? If it's a brand new you should really get one.

elie-7 relax, see we've a hell fun party under your post.

Every country is NOT the same. Corruption is worse in some countries. But I suppose you've lived in every country so you know better.

In Moscow specifically, software piracy is an art that makes prices incredible, but there is a bigger premium on hardware than there should be.

You should try living in Zimbabwe and then tell me all countries are the same. Or the Congo. Or Iran.

Since when did it become a badge of pride that you paid more for a formerly officially supported device?

How are they doing this 'scam'?

I assume you're talking about secondhand market, where free market forces work.
