im getting this error now which i didnt have before installing the app lol.
i usually use FAM and its working fine but the default app manager says operation error when i open it and im getting this error in x-term...

"E: invalid record in the preferences file, no package header"

rm /etc/apt/preferences
Is an error due to the pin procedure ... and i still don't understand why someone has this problem and some others not -.-'''

Buf after the rm command the hildon and the status menu will be replaced with the original version :/

So ... do this :

rm /etc/apt/preferences
apt-get remove maemodder
rm -r /opt/MaeModder
dpkg -i patch/to/maemodder.deb

And try to do the hildon mod again ..
I'd like lo know the cause :/

You better listen to him bcz technical he is right. If it looks better it is a feeling and somehow adjusted to your ego. Also do you have a frame counter for the transition? Do can point me to that app? Or did you check conky during a transition if cpu is going up and if transition is not managed by gpu?

BTW. I have written a tune-up script in my sig. dunno if is considered as a mod. it might be of interest for you and your people.

python-gtk2 is already the newest version.
python-gtk2 set to manually installed.

python-osso is already the newest version.
python-osso set to manually installed.

Home directory /home/user not ours.

Start X Terminal, make sure you are connected to Internet and rootsh (or equivalent) is already installed:

root <enter>
apt-get install zenity <enter>

Oz have you salved this error? : "E: invalid record in the preferences file, no package header"
And does the zenity windows appear ? (http://www.maemomeego.net/files/post...124_173448.png)
I want to understand if the problem is in the bash scripts or in the python gui .. :/
