hey i need serious help with this.

i jus got my phone recently...i already used preenv.deb ...so that i could play WEB OS games...but since then my phone has become super slow

i tried changing the kernel too...but it didnt help

the problems i'am facing are as such :

1. Phone takes too long to boot.
2. Phone Lags alot
3. conversation box does not updte with time unless i reboot my phone
4. Application manager takes ages to open.

another question...how do i hard reset?

Can some1 plz help me out with this?

Classic method of welcoming new forum members, usually proves ineffective.

Since each problem is a little different, lemme offer some assistance.

Install conky and give it a run. See if anything is using way too much memory or if something is choking the processor, as in 40%+. Oftentimes there's a nasty process that uses too much processing power and renders the rest of the phone useless. If you wanna save a lot of trouble, back up the necessities and reflash the phone. It'll be brand new, fast, and only takes about 15 minutes first time through.

Being asked to search first worked for me when I first started using forums. Your advice is certainly more specific and offers the ultimate fix for lagginess caused by new applications. (not being sarcastic, you are right on here.) There are also several threads that address lagging. The slow boot problem shows up less frequently.
