I need help here!
I had kernel power settings vs 28 and kernel power settings running in 1.2
I loaded PR1.3 OTA.
It says on uname -r? 2.6.28-omap1

I don't how to get kernel power settings to load ideal etc. I think something is very? wrong here?
I used 'apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power-modules kernel-power-flasher
Then is says I allready have the newest version. What to do next? All commands I used before seem to fail. I 've seen messages on archives, not being in sudo file, I'm confused.

pointless thread ever.
overclocking is as easy like it always was.
and there are 100 better tutorials for overclocking.
it has nothing to do with pr1.3.
and there is no need for cpufreq
and that it doesn't work with nitdroid is super crap too.

See this
After you install NITDroid, you should do some things to get kernel power to work.

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=852499&postcount=8 suggested that a reload of the kernel is needed. May be try to un-install the kernel and then re-install it.

good luck

Ok, I succeeded to reinstall the kernel this time, maybe less trafic on the site?

My 'old' commands starting with /usr/sbin/kernel-load and /usr/share/ k-p-s/ideal did not work anymore but:

kernel-config load ideal
kernel-config limits 500 900

Worked fine! I'm on th road again, thanks!

Careful about using kernel-power, just found out that using it on PR 1.3 potentially has a negative effect on Joikuspot (ie it doesn't work). Or perhaps it's just my phone.

Check out the related thread, if you'd like: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=64807
