Works like a charm for me! Thanks so much for this.

My only two bits of feedback would be:

1 - buttons are a tad small (although I do appreciate having them all on one screen, so not sure what can be done about that.. perhaps my second comment plays a roll..)

2 - it's very pretty, but the contrast ratio of the graphics makes it tricky to read the button icons with the screen at an angle.

Viewed straight on, it's great, but as soon as I tilt the phone toward my XBox, the white buttons fade into the white background and it's hard to be sure I'm pressing the right one.

Otherwise, this is fantastic

Aaaaah! The god ol' RROD! I think everyone who's owned an x360 for some time has been there at some point... I feel your pain.

Not so much useless, I hear its pretty good as a house brick
There are ways to fix it, Fairly simple too. But it obviously kills the warranty.
My original 360 had the RROD 4 times before It finally gave up completely... With some help. All MS gave me in return was Viva Piņata.....Talk about adding insult to injury.

I'm back in the game.

Did the x-clamp fix to my Xbox 360 and ta daaaa...... it bloody well works.

It took just over 2 hours to complete (but i was being very careful) cleaning the cpu and gpu chips free of the old thermal paste took the most time up.

As you can see the rrod has gone and those x-clamps in front of the Xbox are part of the problem they put too much pressure on the motherboard and heat sinks so you remove them put screws through the motherboard directly into the heat sinks a few nylon and metal washers here and there new thermal paste on the cpu and gpu chips, bake the console with fans off for 2 mins (switch on with no fans on, the cpu and gpu will heat up and any poor solder will re-solder itself) cool down reconnect fans re-assemble and we are good to go.

I played Need for speed hot pursuit for 2 hours after i fixed it with no problems.

Please don't follow my steps to fix your console i was putting it across in simple terms to let everyone know that it is quite easy to do if a little time consuming. If you want a more in depth guide and help - google - xbox 360 rrod repair kit pro II

that should get you on your way

Now that i have a working Xbox 360 any updates on this app coming up?

Is there away to open this app, and then use the N900s' keyboard to type in messages on the console?

Those clamps are like your appendix once they start giving you grief they need ripping out.

it was very easy really the cleaning up of the old thermal paste was a royal pain in the x-clamps.
