I installed (just out of curiosity) crash-reporter awhile back.
It has collected now several crash dumps to /home/user/MyDocs/core-dumps

Tried to use crash_reporter_ui on one of them:

So, "Error 201", it didn't go anywhere or did it?
Is this crash-reporter used anymore anyhow or just some old relic?

However, also the powertop-F5C8-11-4027.rcore.lzo file was deleted by crashreporter_ui

error 201 means authentification denied. i don't think the file is uploaded when u get this message especially when in html.

Ok, that I kind of figured.
I haven't changed any settings because there were those nitrouser/password in /usr/share/crash-reporter-settings/crash-reporter.conf
Should I put my bugs.maemo.org user/pass there?
Also there is this server_addr=https://stage.maemo.org/nitro

Not much documentation was found for this package, nor -h did bring anything.

1+. I would try that if i where u. But it seems not be continued package. If that is what the program does then it is just uploading this dump somewhere!

It is a shame it is not continued.
Seems like similar type of very useful tool as abrt is for Fedora automatically collecting and uploading crash dumps (while abrt also removes any privacy data it can comprehend)

Of course, to make it really useful it should automatically install dbg-packages when core dump has been made (like abrt does), which would mean there has to be dbg-packages available for every package in repositories.

I wonder if Meego will have any this type of automatic crash debug and reporting tool?
