Ok, that I kind of figured.
I haven't changed any settings because there were those nitrouser/password in /usr/share/crash-reporter-settings/crash-reporter.conf
Should I put my bugs.maemo.org user/pass there?
Also there is this server_addr=https://stage.maemo.org/nitro
Not much documentation was found for this package, nor -h did bring anything.

It has collected now several crash dumps to /home/user/MyDocs/core-dumps
Tried to use crash_reporter_ui on one of them:
~ $ crash_reporter_ui MyDocs/core-dumps/powertop-F5C8-11-4027.rcore.lzo * About to connect() to stage.maemo.org port 443 (#0) * Trying 80.248.164.237... * connected * Connected to stage.maemo.org (80.248.164.237) port 443 (#0) * SSL connection using DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA * Server certificate: * subject: /C=FI/ST=Espoo/L=Espoo/O=Nokia/OU=NBI/CN=stage.maemo.org * start date: 2010-03-23 00:00:00 GMT * expire date: 2011-03-23 23:59:59 GMT * issuer: /O=VeriSign Trust Network/OU=VeriSign, Inc./OU=VeriSign International Server CA - Class 3/OU=www.verisign.com/CPS Incorp.by Ref. Is this crash-reporter used anymore anyhow or just some old relic?
However, also the powertop-F5C8-11-4027.rcore.lzo file was deleted by crashreporter_ui
