I think it is just the controller which is not well configured (still binded to your PS3).

I tried long time to configure my controller through Windows (and through VMWare too) and I gave up.

The best solution is to use a Linux distribution (for example, a Ubuntu live CD) and to do it through this operating system.

Forgive if this has been answered in this thread. I have had a PS3 controllet working well with my N900 for some time. However I've chosen to use BT keyboard/mouse, which means I have had to uninstall and six axis support due to conflicting packages dependencies between six axis supoort and extkbd/extmou.

is there a fix or way around this at the moment?

HELP, VERY URGENT: I have successfully connected my sixaxis to my N900 but for some unknown reasons, it only works with Mupen64. My phone does not react when pressing the sixaxis buttons and I can't use it with other programs than Mupen64.

I looked into /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/ and i have 3 files:
10-x11-evdev.fdi
20-x11-sony-keypad.fdi
20-x11-sony-sixaxis.fdi

What can I do to use it with other emulators like drNokSnes or PicoDrive and other Apps??

EDIT: I don't know what i did, but it works now!

I agree with @OperationNT- just do it in a Linux distro. Virtualbox is easy enough to download and setup a quick Ubuntu VE. I did it this way and I was up and running in about 5 mins with iNES and Mupen64. Definitely a treat.
I can't believe that I can now carry multiple consoles in my pocket pretty much with a controller.

When I tried with Virtual Box, it failed (it seems that only some obvious USB devices like mouse or keyboard can be used with Virtual Box). The only way I found was a real Ubuntu Live CD (it doen't required any install, just 5 minutes to boot).

I resinstalled the SixSxis apps, uninstalled BT HID scripts, rebooted, then everything worked. I had BT headphones playing music, BT mouse/keyboard, and PS3 controller all connected at the same time.

I'm trying all this for the first time and I need help (what a surprise!).

I've followed the whole "for Windows users" post by f2thak very carefully, but when it comes time to pair the Sixaxis with the N900, I get no results at all. I never see this "blue icon" that everyone mentions. Bluetooth is enabled and visible.

What might I be doing wrong?

What Windows are you using?

I installed the SIXAXIS (TM) Support app and sixad daemon. Then downloaded GlovePie to my (WinXP) PC. Changed the BT address in the file "N900" to the one reflected in the "About" in my Settings menu for my N900. Then I plugged the PS3 controller into my PC, run the GlovePie program. After maybe 15 seconds, I unplug it, let it stop flashing/turn off.

Then simply turn BT of via a desktop widget, and push the PS button (on the SixAxis). My BT logo goes from white to blue, and the lights on the SixAxis stop flashing and start flicking through them in order, until it stops on one of the lights (usually number two for some reason). After that, it's connected.
