    [Request] Mediaplayer plays mms:// video streaming protocol

    can someone of you make a mediaplayer that plays mms:// streaming video?

    no mediaplayer out there in all repoes can do it, so shame.


    e.g. mms://66.172.3.142/3
    Now this links works on my desktop pc, but it never works on n900!!!

    comeon people mms video streaming!? not working on n900!!!

    In the other words your N900 connects to the WiFi router which redirect the traffic to the dsl line?

    the default player is just fine for this, so SHAME you blame before try or search. it plays like charme, checked myself, just type in browser the link and it will open it with mediaplayer. (you shouldn't put this specific link, it would be nice some music or clips as example)

    and i wouldn't mention that mplayer can do it as well, as you don't have to use it.

    Wrong!

    mplayer doesnt work,
    and Kmplayer too
    or even knots 2, or canola!

    NONE OF THEM WORK! please dont spread lies.

    I don't know but I just put mms://66.172.3.142/3 into microB and it kicked up media player and it started playing just fine. Mind you this is on an N810 so ymmv

    my friend the mplayer play this kind of live stream but all the problem u have to add it by urself not open it from web site and i will show u some screenshoot from my N900

    i tested it with mplayer not working but with kmplayer so good its Islah Channel and i made bige list for arabic channel with kmplayer if u like to show u no problem
