This link suggests it could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon, a single-core 1Ghz ARM-based CPU, based on a leaked spec sheet:

Atom is not a handset CPU and Intel knows that and my guess is Nokia knows too.

Why are you guys so surprised that the first Meego phone will be running on an Intel x86 processor??
Did you honestly think that Intel a chip manufacturer would join hands with Nokia in developing a new mobile Linux distro, only so that Nokia can produce more phones with ARM processors that are produced by other not-Intel chip manufacturers??
Get real... (trying really hard not to be snide here...)

do a little bit of detective work and all the info needed to determine the CPU of the N9 is publicly available
HINT: its not a Moorestown
nokia have stated they will release dual core devices H2 this year.
what is a bigger fail is the engadget generation in this thread believing everything they see on the net, when a simple search in certain a place would give them concrete facts about what nokia is using.
Pick your choice; OMAP3, OMAP4, U8500, Qualcomm scorpion core, Moorestown and tegra 2.| The Following User Says Thank You to tissot For This Useful Post: | ||
