I then get: /bin/sh: /etc/bluetooth/main.conf: permission denied.

When I go to X terminal to change the main.conf
I put in:
Sudo gainroot
then
/etc/bluetooth/main.conf
I then get: /bin/sh: /etc/bluetooth/main.conf: permission denied
How come I have denied permission? Isn't rootsh supposed to give me root access? Please help and thanks.
