AFAIK it's pretty easy to change the keymap if you have the right screwdriver. Tero changed a keymap at MeeGoConf in a few minutes without a table:

I have not tried this myself, but I believe you only have to unscrew the bottom two screws and then remove and replace the keypad without removing the screen. Good luck

For £3.90 it's cheap enough so that I might buy one just to find out and to keep it as a spare, just in case I ever need one
it is definitely a knock-off. you can tell this from the font on the keys.

I ordered it as well and it arrived today so I can't fault the speed of delivery
So I took some scans of it here:
FAKE N900 Keymat from eBay:
Front

Back

Hmm... the fonts and the printing of the fonts
Keymat feels quite solid, I shone a light from the back of the keymat and it does appear to light up the keys.

As my n900 keypad is not faulty and I'm not going to rip it out to find out if it installs okay, maybe FP125 will be able to report back on that.

Whether it's fake or not, it's a keyboard! I don't see this thing breaking in a month, even if it does, you can float the phone through multiple keyboards.

Looks like it might be easier to see as the font is larger. That SYM key is awful looking though.

Ok, received it, whilst I managed to fit it ok (not as difficult as I thought)

The quality is very poor, 2 keys have already dropped off. So I am very disappointed in the build.

It's only £3.90, so you cannot expect the Earth, but did'nt expect 2 keys to drop off in 24hrs.

Shocking

Another one has dropped off - 3 in 24 hours - laughable!

Is the site listed previously the best then? Seems you have to register with them before you can add anything to your shopping cart

Although there is an English option on the site - the registration is all in Finnish! Doh
