I have two suggestions/requests:

The first one has been on your to-do list since last July:
"Double Tap" search order for phone type (e.g. first mobile, phone and then skype).
[i.e. SETTINGS > GROUPS > DOUBLE TAP]
The second is a modication to your GoogleVoice call-out.
On the Google Voice website, under each phone that the GV-number forwards to; there are advanced settings. Two of these settings effect your GoogleVoice call-out:
  • Requires pressing star during greetings
  • PIN required
You should add matching settings, so that you can optionally suppress the "*" and|or PIN number.
[i.e. SETTINGS > CALL OUT #s > GOOGLE VOICE (DIAL)]

Indeed this was the original motivation for me to start this project and still I haven't finished it.

Google Voice call-out was mainly a "freebie" and until few weeks ago I had never actually used (or heard of anybody using it).

It was designed to be used with the "PIN required" option but I found a problem on the current version when placing international calls (will be fixed on the next release).

I can add change the application to manage the extra options but I wouldn't say it is a high priority because you have the option to make it work on the most common case or you can use mycontacts with vicar and have a little more control on which DTMFs get sent.

There is a "bugjar" but most, if not all, people report bugs here.

This is not an issue with mycontacts, it is with the phonebook. If you run a search on this thread you will find more details (it has been addressed before). Essentially, when you add a phone number to the addressbook and don't specify the "type of phone" it will show as cellphone by default but will not "register" as "cellphone". You can edit the contact, change the phone type to something else and then change back to cell phone.

Great app. For some reasons, I dont have the option for texting when in "Cell Only" mode. Can this be corrected? Also, can we use mp3 for a ring tone?

Thanks

The texting on cell only issue unfortunately is an issue with your "standard address book". You can easily fix it by editing any contact that presents the phone: edit the contact and change the phone type to something else and then change back to cellphone. The "standard" contacts application shows as cellphone by default but in the database is "flagged" as a "standard phone".

You need to convert the mp3 to wav file first. When you assign the a mp3 to a profile the "phone" actually converts it to a wav file behind the scenes. Check this link for information on how to convert an mp3 on the phone.

Hi, for some reason contacts listed by this app do not come in alphabetical order, but instead in a kind of random one. Any ideas why?

If you read the previous posts on this thread you will find more details about it but essentially is an issue with contacts that only have "nicknames" (no first and last names). It will be changed on a new release.

The app does not show information on neither gtalk nor skype of contacts. Is this something you plan on bringing later down the road in future updates? Just a suggestion.

Thanks.

It does show on the widget. The border color around the contact will change color depending on the status.

Where else would you like to see it?
