Exacly what it does!! Cause that what i Meant many people here complains and says N900 with 600 Mhz less good cause there are other phones running in 800Mhz. So my point is Mhz says NOTHING cause it depends on other factors too like you say above.

= different manufactors, different ways the CPU works.

Same goes for dualcore vs singelcore. If the OS isn't optimized for dualcore maybe singlecore infact is faster.

Also what I meant was even if the CPU SUPPORTS xxx feature it doesnt always means the core OS is ready to support it but still people beleive it cause the "specs" says soo.

Isnt this done by the GPU :-S

True but you also need much of RAM. And IMHO this works good on N900 already == OS is good optimized in maemo already.

Some here is also related to GPU.

    That maybe true

I did do that compare cause there IS people beleive in this. not me ofcourse!

Qaulity on N8 has nothing todo with those 12mpix. THis is probadly more related to the GPU and how much the videoalgitms is optimized on N8.

Video could be ALOT better on N900 too. (not as good as N8 but alot better than today) Thing is they havent enought of engineers fix this issues and that is ofcourse a shame :-/

Let's give Nokia some credit. The N900, I have never had and used a phone for this long, 14 months now, and still there is nothing out there that is better. The N8 is the best phone ever produced, but I can't live without a HW keyboard anymore. The E7 is late and overpriced, so be it, it is not intended as a mass market device, and those executives need something that looks executivy and is not an iPhone.

The N9 will come eventually. MeeGo/Harmattan is (hopefully) scrapped, and if it is true, this is only a good thing. We don't need all these half way there devices. A killer of a Symbian phone is coming, a phone that also can run MeeGo and probably Android. How cool is that?

    Lets spread some new rumors:

My guess is that meego is dead at nokia. Instead the UI in meegoi is backported to Symbian.

Reason take a look in the qt-components log:

    http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-component...commits/master

    symbian, symbian, symbian blabla...

    grrrr

if meego is dead? (still not sure if this is true) does that mean N900 gets Hartman? (Why waste the code?)

dont know how they ever planned out the cross platform dream if this as only just happened and not 2 years back when i was at a press event Qt for Symbian i must of dreamt all those months back

I keep coming back to these threads in case something significant as been found and posted which i would hate to miss, and all i end up doing is giving myself a headache
