I've tried that on the Sprint US version, and it didn't work too well. Maybe I'll play around with the new firmware and see what happens. I don't see why an un-blocked treo would work better, but maybe they had to do something different to the CDMA DUN modes.

Yeah, I checkmark "Add to Trusted Devices" every time, but it never helps. In fact, it's ON the Trusted Devices list, if you look at it. Just keeps asking for the passcode anyway.

Interesting that it works for you. That suggests it is solvable, if we can just figure out what we're doing differently.

I have a question for the Cingular or GSM users. Does your 650 pair with the 770 correctly? Do you have to always enter a passcode when you want to use DUN?

Jeffgrado: I've had mixed results with pairing to my Cingular 650. Sometimes it will go OK, but if you delete the pairing and try again you will have trouble completing the process. Or vice-versa. But I've had a lot of trouble getting the Treo to pair with other bluetooth devices, such as my Powerbook. They all seem to work "eventually".

With the 770 + Treo combo, yes, I always have to re-enter the passcode to use DUN. With other devices + Treo, no.

I see there are some new firmware releases out, but I'm guessing it won't change anything! I'll try it this weekend.

Trying to connect my 770 with my Treo 650 has been an ordeal. I've found that by "disabling name cache" in the Treo 650, it tends to allow a successful pairing more frequently. Now I'm hindered by creating a connection on the 770. Spring doesn't seem to have a setting in the drop down box. Does anyone know what settings I can use for ph#/username/password?

Thanks!
