Is your call log is also having problem or is it only with the msgs??
You may have to restore some backup of Conversations and calendar which you took before this problem started.
For Rebuilding database:
Goto X-Terminal
type the following and enter:
sudo gainroot
rm /home/user/.rtcom-eventlogger/el.db
touch /home/user/.rtcom-eventlogger/el.db
Try these. It might work.
this is what i did .. and still it doesn't work
~ $ sudo gainroot
Root shell enabled
BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
/home/user # rm /home/user/.rtcom-eventlogger/el.db
rm: cannot remove '/home/user/.rtcom-eventlogger/el.db': No such file or directory
/home/user # touch /home/user/.rtcom-eventlogger/el.db
I have the same problem for a while now, its buggin me out. I tried the solution to remove and rebuild conversation database but problem still persists. I only have this problem though when chatting through AIM via the extra plugins support. Anyone figure this out yet???
