    just use
    Code:
    df -h
But may be you can shed some more info what you was doing before the problems started first.

Have you tried rebooting? That error suggests that your system is totally stuffed though, so I think a reflash will be required.

hi guys...something similar has happened to me too.

I tried to install nitdroid 0.0.8 (popov) as instructed in below site
    http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?...sg1640#msg1640

while the tar file was downloading, i ran out of credit so my installation got screwed.. Now my n900 does not show any bootscreen and i am using the n900 default (press ´o´ at boot screen) as it does not show any booting options either....then i got a notice that my root is full...when i checked, it was 100%.!!..... and i have done most on http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space thread...it shows ´cant find mount´ in xterminal and application manager also failing...no catalogies to read from and it keeps loading...

Can anyone help me on this plz? I had a power kernel and modified to 8GB installable memory....I wud realy hate if i have to format it again!!..maybe if I can know what to delete and from where? because i think both are because root is full and it happened when nitdriod got screwed!!

    How about this case:

E: Unable to write to /var/cache/apt/
E: The package list or status file could not be parsed pr opened.

    no catalog listed, just this.

    I tried:
    - I disabled all the catalogs and still no use. Can't even remove any app.
    - umount and mount MyDocs trick
    - apt-get clean (I get this msg: "W: Not using locking for read only lock file /var/cache/apt/archives/lock")
    - and now I can't even save a picture taken, looks like it's for read only

Any suggestions? cuz reflashing is just waaay..... painful.
    Thanx in advance

This happened to me when the rootfs was 100% and all i did was opening /usr/share using filebox and i deleted some unimportant -which i knew what they were- manually and deleted some games there, then the rootfs was fine so i opened app manager and removed other stuff.

    Please post the output of
    Code:
    df -kx
    mount
because the content of /var/cache/apt is located on /home/opt.
