i couldnt crack my wpa network,I waited a 1 hour and 30 minute to receive the ''handshake'' and nothing,i wonder if any body crack they wpa network or maybe i'm doing something bad

The handshake will only appear when a client legitimately authenticates to the access point.

what you mean exactly i have to wait for it to appear i waited a hour and 30 minute and nothing but, how long does the handshake take to appears?

Type in:

Code:
sudo aircrack-ng --help
That will find the command. Now run it in this format:

Code:
john  --incremental:MODE --stdout | sudo aircrack-ng -e TARGETESSID -w - TARGETCAP
With MODE being the increment mode. Either "Alpha" for letters, "Digits" for numbers, "Alnum" for both or "All" for both and special characters.

TARGETESSID is the name of the target access point, and TARGETCAP is the cap file.

You will also need to edit the /opt/John/john.conf file as root and change the max and min limits on the different Incremental modes.

Start capturing the network. Now connect a laptop or something to the network. You should see "Handshake:" appear in the top right of the screen

thx man u made my day i am doing it on my laptop 450 k/s vmware
but i still dont know how to chose the no. of digits or if i can start with 1XXXXXXXX

Hi FRuMMaGe. Here a pic of my problem:



When i select wi-fiarnet, nothing apears in the below white setion and i get the error index out of range.
