Argh!
Do you have a tarball of all the .deb files for these things?
those dependencies are a bit confiusing at first - the | character means "or"

this means it depends on libxpm OR xlibs
so install xlibs, not libxpm

same goes for the rest,

Anybody figure out how to get xkbd to input to fullscreen sdl games?

Or how about the issue where with xkbd installed and in wide-mode, the system menus do not work?

I successfully installed both xlibs and libxpm4 after enabling red pill mode

I can't get an .install file to work on my webhost. http://pupnik.de/xkbd.html

17:15 < X-Fade> pupnik: You have to use the correct mime-type for .install
17:15 < X-Fade> Content-type: application/x-install-instructions

where can i set this if i don't own the webserver?

I have XKBD working fine on my n800, my question is there anyway to simulate a mouse right click with the virtual keyboard? Trying to run POSE (palm os emulator) and i need to have a right click to open the menu....is that possible with the xkbd?

Sorry no. if a tap-hold doesn't give you right click in pose, i could look into it.

You might find GarnetVM to be more to your liking

Could someone help me with the first step in making my own customized xkbd keyboard layout?

I'm hoping to have it three keys across running up the entire left side of the screen for my N800, using OS 2007.

This is what I'm doing...

I go to
http://pupnik.de/gameflat.xkbd

Then edit>select all>copy

I then open up notepad and paste.

Without even making a single edit to the configuration file I then
Save as>gameflat.xkbd
Save as type>All files
Encoding>ANSI

For some reason after loading it on to my internal memory card and then trying to run this configuration, I always receive the follow error.

Confix file parse failed at line: 0

I've tried opening it Wordpad and then copying and pasting to Notepad as well since I don't want the .txt extension but still receive the same error.

Any help on this?

Thanks.

Welcome to the world of Microsoft.

Microsoft is probably mangling the text file by inserting line-feeds after every line. Because microsoft can't open a file and save it unchanged, no, that would be passing-up a chance to raep someone editing unix files.

On windows you should edit unix text files using a text editor that respects file integrity, like for e.g. gVIM.

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/cre...gvim-7-1-2.exe

Either that or run the saved file through a dos2unix filter that will convert CR/LF to CR.

Then again i might be mistaken that CR/LF is the cause of the problem - it is nonetheless necessary to know of this 'feature' of windows apps when editing text files for unix/linux.
