    The last time I recall a patent lawsuit getting to the consumer level was when a judge held up the importation of 3G cellphones with an infringing 3G chip in them. Delaying the release of a device over the rights to the chip's design probably is not a WIN for the consumer. It seems to me that the phones are not going to get crushed no matter what the outcome of the litigation. Might as well let the people have them and add it to the settlement bill.
