Okay.

I found the only way to get notifications to work correctly again, if it's acting weird, is by Tools-> Accounts-> Clear Account.

This will reset everything correctly.

Hmm...

Version 1.2.21

I can put a check mark on or off the Notifications box, but it always remains active.

I'm also somehow lock out on changing the message settings since they are all grayed out.

Finally, I can't even "Clear Account" since this does nothing.

All I can say is that I had notifications on when I upgraded.

Oops, I went through and improved error reporting but when doing so I introduced bugs in the areas I tend to test the least, clearing account info and notifications.

DC quit working on my N810 a couple of months ago. Running it from a command line I get this error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./dialcentral.py", line 22, in <module> import dialcentral_qt
File "/opt/dialcentral/lib/dialcentral_qt.py", line 12, in <module> from PyQt4 import QtGui
RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v8.0 but the PyQt4.QtGui module requires API v7.0

I verified I got dialcentral_1.2.22-0_all.deb from the diablo pool of the repository.

Any ideas?

Glad to hear. I was worried that when I promoted DC it would promote the broken Qt.

Hi Ed.

There's still something seriously wrong with changing the notification settings with your newest version.

Whatever I set it to, it just didn't seem to want to take.

I am on DC 1.2.22 but I do not have any Notification options from the Account window. Am i missing something?
