I have a problem I have been trying to fin a fix for... I cant seem to be able to connect to a WPA connection. I find the router and it only asks for a password (i know the password, only normal letters)

When I try to connect the connection icon that indicate that the phone is trying to connect, flash for about 1min. Then it says "approval failed".

Its a TRENDnet router... all my co-workers manage to connect without ANY problems (LG HD2, nokia E52 etc).

If anyone answers. Please Im a noob with this, so please noob down ur answers :P

On the N900 WPA is a bit broken. The connection is set up okay, but it fails to get an IP address from the DHCP server.

The solution is to set up a static IP address for your N900.

Not knowing what format you are using at work it's hard to give exact advice - you'll need to find out what IP addresses are valid for your network.

Anyway, once you figure that out, click Settings -> Internet Connections -> Connections.

Highlight the one you want and click "Edit"
Click "Next", "Next", "Next", "Advanced"

Click on the "IP Addresses" tab and fill in the blanks.

Once you're done click "Save" and... You're done :-)

You should be able to connect to your WPA network without any further problems.
