For better or worse, Eldar has garnered Nokia LOADS of free publicity.

Apple (Jobs) knows better than to do this sort of thing.

And this kind of thing is beneath Google.

We are not really splitting that number by product, Timo here, but we can say that N8 was really a big part of the mix and we can also say that the demand for N8 outstripped our ability to supply. There was a very good demand for that product, but overall, C7 sold a big amount, C6 came pretty late in the quarter, so less in the mix.

I have to question if the Nokia N8 is as popular as the 5800. That phone sold by the ton. The N8 numbers seem to be lesser at the same intervals as the aforesaid phone.

And yeah... he gets a lot wrong. That's all part of the speculation around the Nokia black hole of communication.

That's apples to oranges, position-wise the N8 is the successor to the N86 (i.e. expensive Nseries photo-device), the 5800 was the midrange (cheap ) touch Symbian device, so it's successor is the C7 or C6-1 which came after the N8.

I know the article is talking about the N9. The N900 (which I have) is already out.

What I meant by this statement :

I LOVE THE N900, I always thought it would be the first Meego device.

I always thought even with the N9 comming out a workable version of Meego would appear on the N900 first.
