The java version might work with latest Oracle JRE and Microemulator 3 snapshot. It's worth a try if you're so desperate for it.
It has a lot better compatibility tham microemulator 2 from the repos with icedtea6. I can even run my local bus service timetable app now

I don't know what protocol Nimbuzz runs but I bet its just some Jabber server with a frontend for it. Write a good Qt UI for IM, host some Jabber service somewhere, and boom you're game. Bonus points for reducing the overhead of the data hungry protocols, and making sure it doesn't use much network traffic and CPU time (while idle/asleep).
