Where are Mythbusters when we need them? Nokia is shipping a MeeGo device this year, obviously more than 3 people have been working on it.
You're probably right, at least I hope you are, but shipping a handset and supporting an OS don't seem to go hand in hand for Nokia anymore. They are showing about as much commitment to supporting/improving meego as they were maemo, not very.
They already relegated it to their "learning platform". Like maemo and "step 4/5" that's Nokia code for "you won't get the latest services and since we are using .NET now you should consider yourself lucky if you get the same Nokia apps"
Learning to release a device and then killed it's future support. Making money from the rejected products and no longer supported by the company after fired a large portion of their employees.
Learn to steal others company OS and use it on its devices and to stop renovation and creating in the future.
Learn to make more steps than 4/5, may be 4.0.1/05 = Maemo5, 4.0.15/5 = MeeGo, 5/5 = MS win7
There is plenty of indications the MeeGo os is still going to haunt the R&D halls of Nokia. As long as it is doing that it hasn't really died, just matures very slowly. Plenty of OS's do this ... like small plants in very private gardens till a break through, or new idea brings them to the front again.
