Hello,

is there any info out there how to change the order or edit the items in the maemo status menu?

For example can somebody help me removing the "Mail for Exchange" item from the N900s Maemo status menu?

the Powatool app, allows you to enable specific status plugins in the drop down menu. Is this what you guys mean?

To edit the order of applets:

navigate to:
/etc/hildon-desktop/
edit file:
status-menu.plugins

To remove applets from status menu:
(example for Active Sync (a.k.a. Mail for Exchange))

navigate to:
/usr/share/application/hildon-status-menu/
locate file:
as-status-applet.desktop
rename to something like:
as-status-applet.old
