Hi, yesterday Nitdroid gave me an error, my sd was corrupted. Now my n900 keep rebooting. I want to reflash and i have downloaded the flasher and the fiasco image.

i followed the tutorial to reflash but when i use the flasher in cmd window appears this message:

    RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin:%m

    someone can help me?

whats the command u typed into flasher?
and if ur sd is corrupt then u can try formatting it, but that would take off nitdroid completely :L

OS maemo file surely has been erased. I solved the "%m" problem but now the flasher tells me suitable usb device not found. I tried a lot of solution but no one worked...

when it said your sd is corrupt. you shouldn't have formatted it. because it formatted the emmc

    so now do this

    http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

take the battery out. plug the cable in. don't press any thing

    run these commands in cmd:
    cd "%ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5"

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f (change the file name to yours)

now it will say waiting for a suitable device. put the battery in (don't press any button) it should start automatically.

    after when thats done
    flash the emmc
    flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f (change the file name)

good luck happened to me aswell

thanx a lot! flashed the os and now the n900 rebooted well, but it tells me that there is "insufficient memory to open camera". Havew i to reflash even with the vanilla file?

Have i made a mistake reflashing os and rebooting without reflashing with vanilla file?

EDIT:flashing os works but when i try to reflash emmc the phone exit update mode (the one with the little usb icon in the upper corner) and doesn't reflash...

    damn
you have to flash your phone again. follow my steps again starting from the start which i said before and dont reboot this time!
    flash kernel then emmv (vanilla)

this happens to me all the time, when I reflash, and here is what I do:
    1. turn the phone off
    2. take the battery out
    3. connect it to the pc (with the battery out)
    4. open flasher from start menu:
    flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f
    5. when it says suitable usb device not found waiting, insert your battery, preferably with your keyboard opened and the u button pressed.
    6. reflashing takes a couple of min, and after it does so, leave everything the way it is
    7. in flasher:
    flasher-3.5.exe -F (your emmc image).bin -f
    8. it will take a lil bit more time to detect the phone, no probs. Then once reflashing finishes, unplug your usb cable take out your battery, wait for a couple of mins., then insert it and reboot your phone. It will take a longer time booting, don't worry.

thanx for the help but the problem persists. When i send the command to flash the emmc the phone exits update mode and the loading dot appear. Then it freezes on the second dot. I found a lot of people with this problem on the net, maybe it's windows 7. I don't know what to do ;(

    EDIT: Maybe solved!

EDIT2: Solved! In Windows 7 64bit to flash emmc we have to disable driver signature (reboot system and press F8 to show options) and then right click on the flasher 3.5 executable, select compatibility and select xp sp 3 option. Fiuuu!

EDIT3: I noticed that in the emmc image there are a lot of new wallpapers. How can i be sure i have downloaded the latest version?

I did the same mistake and now I can't get my N900 flashed. I've done it before and it wasn't that complicated when my phone was ok.

I've tried all those tricks with keeping the keyboard open and pressing u etc but it just keeps rebooting all the time and the flasher doesn't detect it. Using the Linux version of the flasher.

How could I prevent it from rebooting every third second and get the flasher to detect it?
