I don't trust in Nokia anymore. I don't think I'll see anything good from it until its end ~2 years to go. Although I spent some time looking a replacement for my E52, N900 and N810. I didn't find any. I will hold on for year or two before search again. I really hope that N900 is strong enough and will survive those 2 years with me.

I had not seen that before, Like the concept, hate the implementation, would be better to have symbols marked on the qwerty keys and numbers also if they don't want to just give it a 4th row

It's actually a stupid discussion. The N950 will never be an Android or iOS regarding apps. It will probably never run real MeeGo in any satisfactory way (with full functionality of all systems). It will run Maemo6.

What it will be, is the last open phone in many years to come, and it will have better spec than the N900. And lots of you are saying you won't get it because you don't trust Nokia? LOL

I really don't give a flying f*** about trust and corporate politics.
Other companies sometimes have just as shitty short term support too. I had that with my Samsung OmniaHD. One broken software update after the other and after 10 months no more updates. This can happen to you with any manufacturer these days.
If Nokia's meego device is a phone with a hw keyboard and is mostly open and has better specs than N900 then I'll buy it. Unless someone else makes a better mostly open Linux fone...

If it comes with working Ovi Maps, I will probably consider it.

Until the MS partnership, I was considering Symbian phones, but now, it is either Maemo/Meego or non-Nokia.

I will vote with my pocket that Meego was the right strategy.

Of course, if other Meego phones are available with a suitable feature set, they will also be in the running.

If no decent Meego phones are available, I will see if WebOS devices are available, otherwise I guess it will have to be Android. But, Qt seems to be available for Android now ...

I think the key thing is that I won't buy a nokia device until it has everything in the first release. The N900 was deliveried with a pile of **** version of maps and they never provided what cheaper nokias did. Its because of this fact Nokia are going to have to work real hard to get me to ever buy another nokia ! And that's from someone who worked for them for five years !
I'm afraid I have no interest in windows crud so I think my next phone will be an android HTC.

Trusting Nokia now is like deposit your money in a burning bank.

    You get the picture
Good luck to who ever still have faith in a hungry giant that lost its way of the devil mountain
