are u using the CSSU repos? if yes, i would recommend that u disable that and extras-devel and try again.

oh god now it gets worse when i go into apman it now says i have no catalogues ggggrrrrrrrr

when nothing works, try the restart.

My advice would be: Stick with apt-get ...,
but did you try reimporting the repos from ham and then disable some.

how do i do that reimport from HAM?

well they have just reappeaded all by themselves, god my handset is freaky another thing i just noticed is the device has renamed it self to
"BCM2048B0 initialization configuration" when i go in to file manager.... why is it being so weird?/?

My fault!
Rereading your post, you were using NOT fapman. I misread apman as fapman.

Did you try the above code i gave?

"rm -rf /home/user/.mozilla/microb" will remove it. It's not dangerous (as long as you don't mistype anything) but you will lose any customisations, etc. you may have made to microb. You could also just rename the directory, in which case you can restore the original if you find you've lost anything:

cd /home/user/.mozilla
mv microb microb.2011-02-23
You may need to reboot afterwards - the browser runs as a background process, so may not reread the configuration immediately.
