I tried to have an app in portrait (SeriesFinale) then used the long-press in Shortcutd to launch Phone, which is also set to always-portrait. It swapped to landscape, shown me the wait-a-second- thing, then flipped back.

This happens with everything I tested. Not one can stay in portrait. OTOH, I think that starting an app switches windows, which probably passes through exposee or desktop momentarily, which are landscape - maybe that's why.

It's hard coded to START in landscape mode and then roll portrait if told to.

hi,

first of all, AMAZING WORK! im loving the main menu in portrait mode

is there anyway we can set the default style of all application to portrait? some of the applications are taking long to open up just because the application is switching from landscape to portrait (which takes time)
If this is possible then i believe maemo will become a bit more fluent and snappier.

so any ideas how it can be done?

oh btw.. i just realised, my contacts, virtual keyboard, conversation and other most of the applications are not rotating to portrait mode.
help plz!

small problem the lock screen rotates but the border is out of place. is there anyway to change it?

Great work! Thanks to all developers.

I do not know if this can considered a bug:

- While in landscape, I touch the menu, and then I go to a category, let's say, games.
- If I rotate the phone to portrait, instead of keeping the game category, menu goes back to main menu.

The same behaviour happens in the opposite way: if I open a category in portrait mode, if I turn the phone to landscape, I shows again the main menu.
