I had huge problems with recaller too in the past. The recording didn't stop after the end of call, or it started to burn CPU to 100% usage (after 2 hours, battery was dead). But the solution is simple. Disable sound compression (choose the uncompressed waw format for saving the records) Since I have done that, no problems was noticed. My advice to dev. is to remove other options than waw (or put BIG red warning somewhere) until the problem is fixed. But thanks for the great app anyway.

I'm using the acc only and I have like 5 GB of records. I have had the non stopped recording issue 2-3 times only.

No proof, but I believe pressing the end call button makes the recaller never to fail.

I would prefer if it wasn't a widget (but reside in the status bar) and to record also my sip calls.
In any case, I'm really grateful for the developer's time already.

Exactly the same as saturn. I've seen the non stop recording issue before but i always press end call so that might be why i dont get it much. I have the widget on my main screen so that i easily spot if its green. Shame no work has been done on it for a while.

Yeah thats the version i've already got. Maybe thats why I havent seen the problem for awhile.

Either way, its functionality out weighs the few bugs I've had over the time by a long way. Props to the dev.

I just had bought the Nokia N900 last week, and it came with default India version, so i had flashed it using Maemo flaser with Global PR1.3 release.

now yesterday and today i tried installing recaller, and the App Manager says it is Installed successfully.
however I am unable to find it on my desktop and i tried searching for it.

how do i locate it, i guess i have checked it everywhere.

can anyone help me.

So, after hitting the desktop anywhere that there's nothing, clicking in the "gear" thing that appears on the top, then clicking on "Desktop Menu" and then "Add Widget" you didn't find it there?

I've got my phone memory accidently formatted (only the MyDocs part.) and since then - Recaller has disappeared from my desktop. I can still see it on the 'Widget list' but if I select it nothing happens. I removed and re-installed but with no luck. When I type that command [python2.5...] on X-terminal the icon re-appear and all works as usual - works as long as I keep the X-terminal on. I also tried to remove the app, rebooted and re-installed but still no luck. It shows on the 'widget list' but nothing less. Please help me out since typing that command every time I attempt to record right away it's not practical.
I really enjoyed this widget when it worked as expected - it served me well.

Try purging the app (apt-get remove --purge recaller) and then re-installing.

i might have deleted or turned off the icon shown on desktop, and i was searching under Add shortcut,

however, as per your guidance, i found it under Add Widget.
