I guess this may be my future Linux pad purchase, any of you want to play with it first so we can get some feedback. http://wetab.mobi/en/developers/downloads-and-howtos/

I ported WeTab to the O2 Joggler and it's my only experience with the OS. It is quite fitting for the tablet form factor but in my opinion, the Tablet build of MeeGo has a bit more potential.

I read and somewhat understand the WeTab developers have abandoned the OS (this is through Google translate so I am quite likely mistaken).

I did read that it was removed from Amazon at one point but that was probably a lie.

I believe that they recently opened their market to external developers. That was a prevalent reason for negativity on the WeTab forums.

I consider the price to be quite hefty considering devices such as the Advent Vega exist. If I ever acquire a Vega, I'm quite sure a port of the WeTab OS could be done.

The interface for Wetab OS has always intrigued me, I just never had enough money to purchase the device.

The OS needs to mature.

The Vega looks nice. I was looking to replace my N800 with a Meego device to help get the OS on two legs and running. The ability to run Android apps is also a plus on this platform. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WeTab

It can boot Linux distros such as Ubuntu.

Windows is also known to run on it.

Not my first choice (i would buy another N900 first, or if i could afford, have a device be custom built to my specifications), but if i had the money to spare i would get me one.
