I ended up downgrading from titan's kernel to the regular one, and it works fine now. I'll give it another shot when the next version comes out.

Is there a reason why this isn't working? Is it ddwrt's fault, or maemo?

It's a mix of power kernel having Mesh networking enabled, and the older Linux kernels themselves having a problem, AND one of the fields sent by the DD-WRT routers getting interpreted as a mesh ID as a result. The detailed tech discussion is in the comments in the link posted by the poster before you.

When is the new power-kernel supposed to come out? I would really like to turn the N feature of my router back on.

Is there a particular reason you cannot just use the latest DD-WRT?

I realise its referred to as unstable, but quite frankly I find it more stable than the stock firmware my router came supplied with.

The latest DD-WRT isn't available for all models yet.
